Update - doing much better!
Posted by Jess in
Day to Day
Yes, doing much better as of today, though I'll probably still be taking it easy for a few days just to be sure. I'm still finding myself making some post-symptom errors. The basics: Grammar, spelling, plus enough absent-mindedness that tells me I should NOT be near a server that doesn't belong to me right now!
My main problem now seems to be my sudden and annoying fear of 8AM and 8PM, and the few hours after those times. I have to take my antibiotics then, and will have to for a month. The "Ginsu" pill, as I call it. "It slices, it dices..." The feeling of a midget on my chest is gone, only to be replaced by a Tasmanian Devil in my throat, chest and stomach.
Oh well.. as I said before, a means to an end. But sometimes it just feels good to do some good old fashioned complaining. Who knew? I've already been yelled at for not telling anyone I wasn't feeling well on Saturday.
At least I've had a nice chunk of time to devote to persusing the LDD forums. I don't even know how many years it's been. I hated not feeling so helpful anymore. But, now that I can't get a salary unless I'm out there, well, getting it, it's so hard.
I forgot how relaxing it was for me to post there. I'll have to make an effort to get back there more often. I just don't want to post, and then not be able to follow up on it.
I suppose I could post in the mornings, but I'm not really sure I want to be giving any advice before I've had my morning coffee. In fact, now that I think of it, I shouldn't even be allowed near a computer.

If they're "take with" pills, then grind 'em up and mix them with a bit of something halfways palatable. You can do a bunch, one at a time, in a batch, then store the powdered, harmless remnants of the viciously sharpened, intact weapons in a small pouches made from waxed paper or some such. (I used to do that for my mother. Warning: do not attempt a border crossing of any sort if you are carrying several small, obviously single-dose envelopes of an unidentified and unlabeled powdery substance. Customs people don't believe in the practical approach.) Unless, of course, you'd miss the Taz.
Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better, but I don't know if you really want it to get around. You've got a month's worth of pills, so that entitles you to moan and groan and be waited on hand and foot for at least a couple of weeks. Okay, ten days, then. But only if people are still feeling sorry for you ;o)
LOL... yeah, I have to take each one with a full pint of water. I don't think there's any way around it, short of hoping I get used to it. Even my doctor gave me an apologetic look when he handed over the prescription!
Ten days?! No WAY would I be able to get away with that. :-)
Bummer - glad you're feeling better, but - how are you going to lie around on the couch if you have to drink that much water? But on the bright side, you'll be skinnier in a month after running back and forth to recycle that quart of water!
Hate ticks - hate, hate ticks also.......
lol Susan... lie around? The instructions on the medicine says take with a pint of water, and don't like down for a 1/2 hour. Evil stuff I say...
Yes, two pints of water a day, and still not back to regular eating habits. This could very well be the best diet I ever went on. :-)
glad ur feelin better jess.
