Hello World, I'm Zoe!
Posted by Jess in Zoë

It's a Girl!

Welcome to life, Zoë Kendall Stratton. We love you so much already.

Zoë was born on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 4:45 AM at the Westerly Hospital in Rhode Island. At birth, she was 7 pounds, 4 ounces, and 19" long, and came out eyes wide open with a full head of hair.

We're all doing great! We got home today, and enjoyed watching Reboot meet her.

It will be a fun journey getting to know each other. I've been getting to know her for the past nine months, she's real now. We walked into the hospital with just the two of us and a duffel bag, and walked out as a family.

Click here for some more pictures are on Flickr, Zoë already has her own album!

Sadly the hospital had no Internet access, and I was sort of limited to what I could do on my Treo. Of course my friend today mentioned that I probably could have hooked it up to my laptop via Bluetooth/EDVO. Who knew?

Congrats! Guess girls can be slow sometimes too. ;)

Jess, she spent the last nine months tying up your insides. Now she'll spend the rest of her life wrapping Matt around her finger. :D

NICE! ...That first time you see your baby face to face ...it's just amazing. Like you say, all of a sudden YOU'RE A FAMILY! wow. The time FLIES by (trust me!) ...so cherish every moment. ...Hey, and cool that you gave her a name with those little dots over the e :)

Posted by: Joe Litton at August 27, 2007 11:18 AM

I'm so happy for you guys. I can just picture Matt singing her to sleep with a stripped down "Rapper's Delight" :-)

And LOVE the umlaut. Very nice...

Congratulations you two.

Congrats you guys!
Figured something must have been up, as Jess wasn't updating Facebook status as regularly.

I love the name! What key combo or code do you use to get the umlaut? I'll have to practice!

Congrats to Mom, Dad and Zoe. Glad to know everything went OK and everybody is doing fine.

Now off to a life full of fun and (re)discoveries (I ended up lying in the grass with my kids, watching the starts. I haven't done that for 20 years!!!)

Good luck to the whole family.

Congratulations! She's beautiful!

Enjoy every moment, for it flies by fast! It seems only yesterday I was holding my Kiara, and today she started Kindergarten... where did the time go?

My bet on her first words:
"I said a hip hop the hippie the hippie to the hip hip hop..."

It's about time! Congrats to you both! And remember to use the duckie so you don't cook her in the tub;-)

Posted by: Annette at August 27, 2007 03:54 PM

Congratulations!!!!

I bet this beats petting a car ;)

Posted by: Vince Schuurman at August 27, 2007 04:37 PM

Yaaaaaayyyy!! She's here! She's here! And she's hairy! (In a good way of course - it would've been a shock to have had a cave girl huh? :) Congratulations to you all. She's beautiful! She'll be a real knock-out!! Matt, I can hear you warning the boyfriends already, "Step AWAY from my girl!!!" I'm jealous, because my youngin' is almost 23 and I LOVED having a baby to hold. It was so much better than a doll - the pee was real, the noises were real, and oh so squishy!! Can't wait to meet her and see you guys again. Florida in winter would be a lovely place to bring a baby, don't you think???
Talk to you soon.
Way to go Mom and Dad!!

Many many congratulations Jess & Matt! Zoe is absolutely beautiful, just perfect! I hope you enjoy your new lives together as a family, am sure you will, and now you have an excuse for regressing back to childhood! Remember, everyone grows up, but it doesn't mean you have to mature! LOL
