Congrats on 6 months parenthood! I thought I should comment since I've read your blog since you started writing about Mini tuning and track racing. Haven't yet done anything non-stock with my (it's getting older now, close to 50,000 miles!) but have enjoyed reading your stories. Have to say though that I still think yellow and black are better than blue and green :-)

Hi Harry!! Thanks for the congrats! It's funny, I always wanted a yellow one until Eloise came along, now I can't imagine anything different.

Eloise now has 79,000 miles on her. She generally gets faster and handles better several times a year, and usually gets some new "bling". I need to post before and after pics of her interior and you'll know what I mean. I take excellent care of her, and have kept the interior gleaming with Armorall Ultra-shine.

My mechanic takes incredible care of her inner workings. Every time he sees her, he always comments on how this is the only MINI he's ever seen that is getting better with age!

If you ever do want to start tinkering, let me know. I can tell you which mods for the MINI will give you the best bang for your buck and which ones really aren't worth it. The nice thing about the MINI though, is that they are still perfect competely stock!! :-)
