5 Minute Internet Games

What’s better than a highly addicting and enjoyable game on the Internet? A game that has all those qualities AND you can play in under 5 minutes per game. You might have already heard about some of these from friends. You might be addicted to them yourself already. You might have even seen the games, but lost the links to get there. Stay calm, buddy. I know what that’s like.

It sounds easy, but it’s a lot harder to stop playing than you would think. Every time you play it becomes the Quest To Beat Your Last Score. Sometimes you make it, sometimes you don’t. Either way, it will be a blast trying!

Snood
Snood is downloadable shareware that is a cross between old-school Missile Command and Tetris (yes girls, I said Tetris). When I say shareware, I mean that you can download it and try it. If you decide to keep it, you pay the writer $14.95.

The idea is simple – fire a shaped figure as close as you can to another same-shaped figure. When three or more of the same figure are together, they disappear, and whatever figure was hanging off them disappears also. The object of the game is to clear ALL the figures before the brick wall hits the floor. Oh, and did I mention bank shots are allowed?

Bejeweled
Bejeweled can be found on the MSN Gaming Zone for free with nothing to download. You don’t even have to register to play!

Another simple idea – click a gem, and then click the gem next to it to make the two gems swap places. If three gems of the same color line up, they disappear. Like Snood, the object is to clear as many gems as you can. Think it’s easy to clear them all?

Marbles
Marbles is a quick-to-load completely free game with no registration required. Just visit the web site and click on the “New Game” button.

This game requires two mouse-clicks per play. Click on any marbles that are in groups of two or more. The entire group will be highlighted. Click it again, and it disappears, dropping whatever marbles were on top of it down in it’s place, thus forming new groups. Again, the object is to make all the marbles disappear.

Again, it’s not easy! So there you have it. And no, I don’t have any numbers you can call. I’m looking for some myself…
