Fun Things To Send via Email

Aside from the annoying spam, let’s face it. It’s fun to get an email from a friend that’s thinking about you. It’s just like getting a Hallmark card in the mail amongst all those bills. Learn how to brighten a friend’s day.

1. Send a postcard!
Blue Mountain has all sorts of e-cards for any occasion. Encouragement, Office, Just Because, etc. As an added bonus, even if you can’t think of ANY reason whatsoever to send a card to someone, they have thoughtfully given you the special day that each month holds. For example, May 23rd is Sea Turtle Day. I bet you didn’t know that! Another great site to send e-cards is Postcards.org. They have 1001 postcards to choose from, many of which are animated and extremely goofy.

2. Send an E-Crush
Send a friend an E-Crush! If you know their email, E-Crush will send them an email telling them that someone has a crush on them. They sign up and list their crushes. If your name comes up in that list, it’s a match! It’s fun and completely anonymous. If they don’t list you as a crush, they’ll never know who sent it to them.

3. The Dialectizer!
Our friends at Rinkworks have come up with the Dialectizer. Type in your text, and choose how you want it “dialectized”. Choices include Redneck, Jive, Cockney, the Swedish Chef, Hacker, Elmer Fudd, and more.

4. Make your own Urban Legend
Now normally I don’t approve of sending unverified stuff out in email. But this was too funny. Make your own Urban Legend. Create the scenario, and let the server do the work to spin the biggest yarn you’ve ever heard. It comes all ready to be emailed to a friend!

So there you have it! Go ahead, brighten a friend’s day and let them know they were thought of. Okay, so maybe I go overboard a bit when I send my friends e-cards from my pet ferrets. But really. Do you really want to celebrate Sea Turtle day all by yourself?
