Printing the Background
This month’s tip is quick and dirty. Have you ever printed out a web page and noticed that the background has not printed? For most users, this is a good feature, as the background will severely diminish your expensive ink reservoir.
However, sometimes you really need the background to print. Lucky for us, Microsoft has given us the option to decide whether we want the background or not. A little known secret, but we’ll let the cat out of the bag!
It’s as easy as changing one little setting.
1. Go to Tools -> Internet Options
2. Go to the Advanced tab.
3. Make sure that “Print background colors and images” is checked in the Printing section.
Voila! The next time you print a web page, the background will print with it. Just remember, that it will continue to print the background until you uncheck the box.
Happy printing!
